The 2019 Advancing Academic Development Event
The 2019 Advancing Academic Development Event is an opportunity for academic developers to network, share, and shape good practice.
The event will feature keynote speakers, presentations on innovative academic development practice across Australasian institutions, and professional development workshops. Keynote speaker Dr Allan Goody, Past President HERDSA and President ICED, will present on Issues and Trends in Academic Development. Keynote speaker Jade Kennedy, University of Wollongong, Winner of the AAD Good Practice Awards will share Jindaola, a unique educational development program for embedding Indigenous Knowledges and perspectives into the curricula.

Be inspired by distinctive, innovative and exemplary practices presented finalists in the inaugural Australasian Academic Development Advancement Awards PechaKucha-style showcases and participate in choosing the people’s choice award, adjudicated live at the event.
Participate in professional development opportunities to strengthen practice.
Network with academic developers from Australasian universities.
Be involved in high-level discussions on best practice and the future of academic development in higher education to inform and influence new directions.
The Advancing Academic Development Event is supported by a CAULLT grant and HERDSA QLD. Thanks to this generosity, there is no registration cost for delegate/s. We acknowledge the support of QUT in providing the venue for this event.
